Yes Please! Restock this Friday

The palette that ColourPop can't keep stocked will be back this Friday (09/22/2017) at 10 am PST.  Be sure to mark this date on your calendar so you can snatch this gorgeous palette before it runs out!  I say Yes Please! to the restock.

Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Palette Still Available

The much anticipated Kat Von D Saint and Sinner palette (limited edition) has finally been released for purchase at the Kat Von D Beauty and Sephora websites.  The beautifully designed cathedral stain-glassed window inspired package contains luscious, hyper-pigmented, and dare we say sinful eyeshadows.  The Saint and Sinner palette was swatched earlier this month and everyone, including myself, was blown away by the spectrum of colors and finishes (satins, mattes, shimmers, and duochromes).  Kat Von D's favorite shade is called "Vestment", an emerald-black, duo-chrome hue influenced by dragon scales.  This would be perfect color for any Game of Thrones fan.  To see the swatches, click on Kat Von D Beauty's Youtube video below.

The palette retails at $62.00, which is on the expensive side.  However, when you calculate the price per gram, the palette is actually a great deal (Sephora and Kat Von D Beauty offer free shipping if your purchase is over $50).  Each color will most likely last a long time, given that it only requires one brush stroke to get a dramatic eye look.  The palette is still available on both websites and I have already purchased mine. So which one will you be, the saint or the sinner?

Beauty Trove's Top 5 for August 2017

Every month seems to go faster than the one before it.  The summer was filled with lots of new launches from Anastasia, Morphe, Too Faced, ColourPop, and many more beauty companies.  It was almost too much to keep up with.  I have been trying out a couple of items from these new launches and discovering cosmetics that have been a mainstay in the beauty community.  If you want to see the makeup that I have been loving for the month of August, keep on reading.

1.  The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette ($38.00).  This is one of those palettes that was hyped throughout the summer.  The palette itself ranges on the more expensive side for Morphe, but as evidenced by the fact that the palette has sold out every time it relaunched, it is well worth the money.  The eyeshadows are of a higher quality than Morphe typically has and I am hoping that this is a sign that Morphe may be reformulating its older palettes.  The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette features 42 gorgeous and very bendable eyeshadows.  It is mainly geared towards warm toned colors (perfect for fall!) and a few pops of unexpected colors.  I think the metallic gold, bronze, and copper make this palette worth the investment.  I have gotten a number of very pretty looks with this palette and can't wait to take it back out again in October to play with it some more.  I will keep you informed on the next relaunch date.

2.  Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Apri-Cot in the Middle ($2.99).  Wet n wild is known for being an affordable yet high quality cosmetics brand.  Wet n wild surely doesn't let you down with their Color Icon Blushes.  I have been wearing Apri-Cot in the middle pretty much everyday in August and am continuing to use it in September as well.  Apri-Cot in the middle is a super pigmented blush that is the right combination of nude, pink, and peach.  It looks great on the apples of the cheeks and goes perfectly with the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette and a new highlighter that I am going to discuss.  Apri-Cot in the middle is super affordable and super flattering.
3.  Maybelline Face Studio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold ($9.99).  I fell hard for this highlighter.  It is absolutely stunning on the high points of the face.  I have a number of
high end highlighters that cannot do what this less than ten dollar highlighter can do.  The shade, in my opinion, is universally flattering and gives a gold, bronze goddess look.  It pairs wonderfully with my other two favorites (above) this month.  Pick it up and try it out, you won't be disappointed.

4.  Juvia's Place the Magic Palette ($35.00).  The other palette have been wearing exclusively in August is The Magic Palette by Juvia's Place.  NikkieTutorials featured an eye tutorial on this palette.  It has 16 huge soft and pigmented eyeshadow pans.  The metallics are some of the best eyeshadows I have ever used.  I really love this palette and love that The Magic Palette is now part of my permanent makeup collection.

5.  First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay ($24.00).  I typically stay with my Mary Kay Timewise set (includes cleanser).  But this month has been strange and I have been breaking out frequently.  I received a sample of this cleanser in my ipsy subscription and decided to give it a world and try it out.  This cleanser really works.  I am not sure how it worked but my breakouts calmed down and my pores shrank, quite a lot.  I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a full sized one from Sephora.  I am continuing to use this cleanser twice a week, while using my Mary Kay cleanser as my main one.  I am interested in trying out the rest of the red clay line by First Aid Beauty.  I am wondering if anyone else has liked the red clay line and which products do you suggest I try next?

That's it for my August favorites!  What products have you been enjoying in August?  Let me know by commenting below.

Beauty Trove's Top 5 for July 2017!

Sorry everyone!  I know I have been gone for a hot minute, but I am back now and ready to share my favorites for July and August (will be posting this one shortly).  July had a lot of new launches on eye, lip and face products.  It was almost too much to keep up with!  I have been testing some of the new products out this summer and some of them have made my favorites list.  If you want to know what I loved in July, continue to read below.

1.  ColourPop Yes Please!  Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($16.00).  What a gorgeous palette! Many beauty vloggers have called this palette a dupe for the Natasha Denona Sunset Eyeshadow Palette ($129.00).  If you are a warm eyeshadow lover, you need this in your collection.  The pressed shadow formula is the same as ColourPop's single pressed shadow.  They are very creamy and blendable.  I love these colors and have been reaching for them all of July.  These are the perfect hue for the summer and also for fall.  I think my favorite colors are Champs (warm peach) and Chauffeur (a stunning duochrome orange with gold flip).  This palette always sells out but I will let you know the next restock date so you can get one for your own collection.

2.  Jeffree Star's Chrome Collection ($8.00-29.00).  I understand that this brand is controversial because of the creator.  If you are comfortable with Jeffree Star, you do not need to support his brand and can skip past my #2 for July.  He recently launched his Chrome Collection for Summer 2017 and I have been obsessed with it.  I have never purchased any item from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics line before but  could not pass up the chance to own some products from the Chrome Collection.  My favorites from the line are the watermelon lip scrub, Snowcone skin frost, and Velour liquid lipsticks in Candyass and Calabasas. Candyass has been sold out for some time now but there are other products from the line still available on Beautylish.  You can purchase the You Better Work Bundle ($105), which will include Candyass, a beautiful metallic pink-red lip.

 3.  Pixi by Petra Glow-y Powder in Santorini ($16.00).  Santorini is a seriously beautiful highlighter!  It is perfect for a summer glow and is fantastic on the skin.  The highlighter is ultra
smooth and blends into the cheeks like a dream.  It is the perfect golden shimmer that makes you like like a beach goddess.  I like the other highlighter in this line but Santorini is my favorite.  It's very affordable and you will get tons of compliments on your makeup.

4.  Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipstick in Looking Ahead ($5.00).  I tried this lipstick out on a whim at Ulta.  I am super glad I did.  This is a highly pigmented, creamy, ultra affordable lipstick.  The shade looking ahead is a nude rose lipstick that I think will look great on a number of skin tones.  I am trying out other lipsticks by Makeup Revolution and will you know what my thoughts are.

5.  Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette ($14.99).  I have been crushing on this highlighting palette this July.  The packaging is very nice.  The palette is a sleek (haha!) copper holder and is very sturdy.  The highlighters are very soft, highly pigmented, and stunning.  My favorite ones are the bronze and lavender shades.  The palette is compact and would be great for travel.
